SRINAGAR, APRIL 20: On the concluding day of Fire Service Week, 2024, number of programmes were organized at Batamaloo Srinagar Headquarter today.

The main function of the concluding day of Fire Service Week was held at Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters Gandhi Nagar here, which was presided over by Director (ADGP), Fire & Emergency Services J&K, Alok Kumar.
Addressing the gathering, the Director appreciated the officers and jawans for conducting the week long activities in a befitting manner. He stressed upon all the officers and jawans to continue the awareness programmes through out the year to create ‘Har Ghar Fire Fighter’ to minimize the losses during fires. The Director also appreciated the role of Medical Officers of department as well as doctors from various medical specialities in conducting free medical camps besides first aid training to jawans.

However in Srinagar, On the occasion, an Essay and drawing competitions were held in which students from different schools of Srinagar participated. The theme of the competition was “Ensure Fire Safety- Contribute towards Nation Building”.
School children enthusiastically participated, showcasing their artistic prowess while imparting crucial messages regarding fire safety through their captivating artwork. The competition served as a platform to engage and educate the youth on the importance of fire safety measures in our communities.
Following the competition, an award ceremony was held to recognize the exemplary performers. The best performers were honored with suitable cash prizes and certificates, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to raising awareness about fire safety.
The Event was held in presence of Officers including Assistant Director Srinagar, Aqib Hussain Mir, Medical Officer Sh. Abrar Bashir, Foreman RWS Sh. Rattan Lal, and others.
