SRINAGAR 8 DEC: As part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme (CAP) aimed at fostering youth engagement and empowerment, Srinagar Police organized a comprehensive Career Counselling Programme for the students of Government Degree College (Women), Batpora.

The programme was held in a vibrant and interactive atmosphere, where senior officers of Srinagar Police, including SP Hazratbal, SP Headquarters, SDPO Zakura and DySP Headquarters, graced the occasion. Their presence added immense value to the event, as they personally interacted with the students and offered detailed guidance on a wide range of career avenues.
During the counselling sessions, the officers spoke about various academic and professional opportunities available at local, national, and international levels.
They highlighted the importance of informed decision-making, dedication, skill development, and discipline in building a successful career. Special emphasis was laid on competitive examinations, government service opportunities, and emerging career paths shaped by technological advancement.
The students participated with great enthusiasm, raising insightful queries and showing keen interest in understanding the diverse career prospects before them. The interactive sessions helped boost the confidence of the students while motivating them to pursue their goals with clarity and determination.

The Principal, staff, and students of GDC Women College, Batpora, expressed deep appreciation for the initiative taken by Srinagar Police.
They acknowledged that such programmes play a crucial role in guiding young minds and bridging the information gap for students, especially in underserved areas.
Police also distributed mementos among the staff and students of the college.
Through such youth-centric initiatives under CAP, Srinagar Police reiterates its unwavering commitment to community engagement, educational support, and the overall welfare of the younger generation. The department affirmed that similar programmes will continue to be organized in the future to empower students and promote a positive Police–public relationship.
