Bandipora: The Bandipora Powerlifting Association yesterday successfully organised a Valley-wide Powerlifting Competition, drawing top athletes from across Kashmir in an electrifying display of strength and determination. The event carried the inspiring theme “Drug-Free Bandipora,” aimed at encouraging the youth to embrace fitness, discipline and a healthy lifestyle.
MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, delivering a powerful message of collective responsibility and positive change. Addressing the gathering, he said,
“A drug-free Bandipora is our shared dream and together we will take every necessary step to make it a reality. I assure full support to all initiatives that promote youth engagement, sports and community well-being. Our goal is a Fit Bandipora and a Healthy Bandipora where every young person chooses strength and positivity over addiction.
”Bhat, praised the organisers for their dedication in combining sports with a vital social cause and applauded the young powerlifters for setting an inspiring example for their peers. He stressed that events like these not only showcase physical power but also serve as powerful platforms for awareness and change.
