DC Bandipora Inaugurates Mega Health Camp in DH Bandipora Under Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan

Bandipora, Sept 17: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Smt. Indu Kanwal Chib (JKAS), on Wednesday inaugurated a mega health camp at District Hospital Bandipora, marking the launch of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan. The special health campaign will run from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, aiming to deliver a wide spectrum of healthcare benefits to women and community members under one roof.

As part of the camp, specialist stalls were set up for Gynaecological, Surgical, Physician, Orthopedics consultations and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening, District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC), District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), along with other essential health services. The DDC inspected each stall, interacted with medical experts and staff, and also took part in a plantation drive within the hospital premises.

The event witnessed active participation of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Bandipora, and other officers from the civil and health administration.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Indu Kanwal Chib emphasized the administration’s commitment to accessible healthcare, stating:

“This initiative underscores our resolve to provide comprehensive health facilities for women and families in Bandipora. I urge all citizens to take full advantage of the medical services during the camp and contribute to building a healthier community.”

The campaign is expected to benefit thousands of people across the district, with a special focus on women’s health, preventive care, and family well-being.
