SRINAGAR: The administration of Amar Singh College has issued a public notice cautioning against the misuse of its name on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
According to a official statement issued here reads, a number of accounts have been operating in the name of the institution, posting objectionable content that violates the privacy of students and staff. These accounts, officials said, have been circulating fake news, sharing personal details of students, and uploading videos and images recorded inside classrooms and other spaces on the campus.
It further reads, the administration that such activities not only breach privacy and discipline but also compromise the safety of students while tarnishing the reputation of the college.
“All such accounts are directed to immediately remove the objectionable content and delete the accounts created in the name of the college or used for sharing such material. Failure to comply will invite strict action under the law,” the notice reads.
The college has repeatedly issued guidelines on discipline and the responsible use of social media, reminding students that violations will be dealt with seriously.
