SRINAGAR, AUGUST 01: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, Cultural Unit Srinagar of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), in collaboration with Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Chanapora, held a stirring short play-based awareness programme focused on the menace of drug abuse.

The powerful performance by a local theatre group vividly portrayed the real-life consequences of substance addiction and left a deep emotional impact on students and staff alike.

Students appreciated the meaningful content and conveyed their interest in witnessing more such thought-provoking events.

Sameena Wani, Principal of the institution, applauded the initiative and emphasized the importance of early intervention and awareness.

Burhan Hussain, Cultural Officer, DIPR, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the role of art in social reform.

The programme ended with a unified pledge against drug abuse, with a collective resolve to promote a healthy and addiction-free society.
