Tulip Garden thrown open for visitors

Srinagar, Mar 26 Srinagar’s iconic Tulip Garden, nestled in the foothills of the Zabarwan range overlooking Dal Lake, was officially opened to visitors on Wednesday.

The garden was thrown open by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, marking the beginning of a vibrant floral spectacle.

“Delighted to throw open Asia’s largest #TulipGarden in Srinagar today,” the Chief Minister’s office posted on X.

Abdullah was accompanied by Minister Javid Dar, advisor to CM Nasir Wani and some legislators from Srinagar

The garden boasts a breathtaking display of over 1.7 million tulips in 74 exquisite varieties, creating a mesmerizing flower carpet.

After throwing open, the Chief Minister toured the garden and engaged with non-local tourists, who expressed their admiration for the unparalleled beauty of Kashmir. Visitors showed great enthusiasm, praising Kashmir’s stunning landscapes and the grandeur of the tulip display.
