Mir Zain Rafiq of Grade 3 Shines with an Unbeaten Record in the 20th District Chess Championship Held at Sopore

Sopore: Aarifeen School of Excellence showcased outstanding talent at the 20th District Chess Championship, held at MET School, Sopore, securing seven gold medals across various categories.
The event, was organized by the District Baramulla Chess Association (DBCA) to promote chess among young players, saw participation from schools across the district, making the competition fierce and challenging.

Among the standout performers was Mir Zain Rafiq, a Grade 3 student, who achieved an impressive feat by winning all four of his matches. His consistent performance demonstrated a high level of skill and strategic thinking, earning him accolades from fellow participants and event organizers.
Dr. Hanan Khalid Khan, Principal of Aarifeen School of Excellence, expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements. “Winning seven gold medals at the 20th District Chess Championship is a testament to the dedication, skill, and strategic mind sets of our students. Special recognition goes to Mir Zain Rafiq for his flawless performance.
