Srinagar, Oct 8 (KNS): PDP leader Iltija Mufti has conceded defeat in the Srigufwara-Bijbehara assembly constituency, where she is trailing by more than 4,300 votes to NC’s Bashir Ahmad Veeri.
Despite the loss, Mufti acknowledged the support she received during her campaign.
She expressed her appreciation for the hard work of her party members and the affection shown to her by the people of Bijbehara.
In a message on her official X account, she wrote, “I accept the verdict of the people. The love & affection I received from everyone in Bijbehara will always stay with me. Gratitude to my PDP workers who worked so hard throughout this campaign.”
