Srinagar, Sep 08 : Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Athar Aamir Khan has directed the anti-encroachment and enforcements wings to check the building permission and registration of all the commercial establishments in the city.
As per an order, issued by the SMC Commissioner, a copy of which lies with the news agency— (KNO), as per law any commercial establishment can run in Srinagar city only in a building which has a commercial building permission from the Competent Authority and only after getting the registration of the establishment from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
“Now therefore, it is hereby ordered that the Anti-Encroachment and Enforcements wings of Srinagar Municipal Corporation to visit and check the building permission/registration of commercial establishments in the city and ensure necessary action for enforcement as per law,” the order reads.
