Srinagar: Celebrating AZADI KA MAHAOTSAV, 77th independence day an outreach awareness camps Under the theme 75-Health wellness events medical aid camps were conducted by staff of AYUSH Unit at different place of Srinagar, an awareness camp was held by the staff of AHWC GASSIMOHALLA at ICDS CENTER PALYARBAL .Focus was laid on use of home remedies for minor illnesses and ailments. Awareness regarding health benefits of millets and their types was also given.
A medical aid camp was conducted by staff of AYUSH Unit JLNM in which focus was on Anemia screening. The patients were advised for further evaluation and were made aware of including iron rich products in their diet.25 patients were screened and have been documented.
An outreach awareness camp regarding the components mentioned above was conducted by Team from AHWC K.P.BAGH at Government Middle school K.P.Bagh Bund where in 80 beneficiaries including students, teachers and B.Ed trainees were given awareness. Yoga sessions were conducted by Yoga Instructor Amandeep Kaur. Certificate of appreciation was received from the school management. “reads a press release issued”.
