Jammu, June 23 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday accused Gandhi, Abdullah, and Mufti families of killing 42,000 people in Jammu and Kashmir from 1947 to 2014.
Addressing a gathering in Jammu, Shah said that the days are gone, when these three families would rule and ruin Jammu and Kashmir. He said that from 1947 to 2014, 42,000 people in Jammu and Kashmir were killed, and during this period three dynasties – Gandhis, Abdullahs and Muftis were ruling.
Amit Shah while paying tribute to BJP ideologue, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary, said that Dr. Mukherjee in 1953 was ‘illegally’ arrested for entering Jammu and Kashmir without permission. Dr. Mukherjee was jailed and later killed.
Amit Shah further said that today Dr. Mukherjee’s soul will rest in peace as his mission and vision of one Vidhan, one Nishan and one Pradhan has been fulfilled.
He said Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji was the first person to oppose the inclusion of Article 370 in the Indian Constitution.
Amit Shah said that on August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a big step and removed Article 370 forever and fulfilled Dr. Mukherjee’s dream.
He said that India is celebrating 9 years of Prime Minister Modi’s government. Modiji’s rule is an open book. It is not like the UPA which was responsible for Rs 12 lakh crore scam. Amit Shah said that there was not a single charge of corruption during the 9-years rule of Modiji.
He claimed that Jammu is touching new heights of development. And today, projects worth crores of rupees were inaugurated in the city. Amit Shah said that BJP has clamped down on militancy and today it is on its deathbed.
Amit Shah said that in 47 months after the abrogation of Article 370, there were only 32 calls for strikes while stone pelting decreased by 90%. He further said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have taken laptops and books instead of stones in their hands. Amit Shah said that for the first time in 2022, 1.88 crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir.
Trying to garner support for Modi from the people of Jammu for the 2024 parliamentary elections, he said there is no comparison between “Rahul baba and Modi ji”. We will win more than 300 seats. The Home Minister said that the successful G20 in Srinagar was a great success and all the participants went back to their respective countries with a positive message. He credited LG Manoj Sinha for the smooth conduct of the G20 meeting in Srinagar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah left Jammu for Srinagar in the afternoon after paying obeisance at Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu and laid the foundation stone of several development schemes. [KNT]
