Hateful social media post proves costly for govt employee, attached

Bandipora, Aug 2: District administration Bandipora attached a government employee for uploading an ‘obnoxious’ post on social, targeting a particular sect.

   The administration found the post ‘harmful, inimical to peace that had the potential to create a wedge between the two communities in society.

  The comments were made by a Data Entry Operator at the Zonal Education Office Sumbal and same was reported by field agency to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sumbal, Aamir Choudhary who promptly issued an order, attaching the delinquent employee who has been identified as Saleem Bhat.

   “Consequent upon the report from the field agencies regarding obnoxious social media post allegedly by one Mohammad Saleem Bhat Data Entry Operator, Zonal Education Office Sumbal having a detrimental effect on prevalent brotherhood and the peaceful situation at present which could result in animosity between sections of society,” reads a part of the order.

   Tehsilar has been appointed as the Inquiry officer to probe the matter. [KNT]
