Srinagar, Jul 10 : Authorities on Monday attached Incharge Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Ganderbal, after a complaint of alleged misbehavior and harassment was filed against him by a group of doctors and other paramedical staff.
The doctors and paramedical staff in District Hospital Ganderbal alleged that the Incharge Medical Superintendent has been harassing and misbehaving with the staff, especially with the female staff.
In this regard, a formal complaint was written by the doctors and staff members to the Secretary Health and Medical Education J&K, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and officers, urging them to intervene into the matter and sought disciplinary action against him.
Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir took cognizance of the issue and directed the Administrative Secretary Health and Medical Education to take immediate cognizance of grievance and take appropriate necessary action as per the law.
Moreover, the Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather has attached the accused with the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir with immediate effect.
As per the order copy, reads that Pending inquiry, Dr. Abdul Majid Bhat, Medical Officer, presently looking after the charge of Medical Superintendent District Hospital Ganderbal is hereby attacked with the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir with immediate effect.
The order further reads that Dr. Nighat Yasmeen Sheikh, Medical Officer, presently looking after the charge of Dy. Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal shall also look after the charge of Medical Superintendent District Hospital Ganderbal till further orders—(KNO)
