SRINAGAR 24 JUNE:<\/strong> As part of the ongoing efforts under the Government of India\u2019s flagship indigenous 4G Saturation Project<\/strong>, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Kashmir, the pioneering telecom service provider with its unwavering commitment continues to make rapid strides in enhancing digital connectivity in remote and underserved areas. On 22.06.2025, Sh. Arvind Pandey Principal General Manager BSNL Kashmir, undertook a detailed inspection visit to most challenging and geographically isolated regions like Gurez and Tulail Valley to review the progress and execution of the project on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the inspection, Sh. Pandey reviewed site installations, infrastructure readiness, and engagement with local stakeholders. He interacted with field officials, vendor representatives, and members of the local community to ensure the project’s alignment with the objective of providing universal and affordable mobile connectivity, particularly in far-flung villages. He expressed satisfaction over the pace of work and reaffirmed the department\u2019s commitment to ensuring timely and quality delivery of mobile services in every uncovered village. \u201cThe 4G Saturation Project is a major step towards bridging the digital divide and empowering citizens with access to essential digital services, governance, education, and commerce,\u201d Sh. Pandey remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of now, two sites namely Khandyal and Forest block are radiating and successfully working out of the targeted seven, with the remaining expected to be completed within the stipulated timelines. Further, BagTore, Zadgey, Purana Telail,  Baglinder and Badwan, the Department is working closely with executing agencies to resolve any logistical or technical hurdles to ensure seamless execution.   With the commissioning of these towers not only the local populace will be benefitted but the armed forces who are braving the hostile terrain and the weather will be able to communicate with their families. The project aims on bridging the digital divide by providing high-speed 4G internet access to the border and far-flung villages of the Kashmir division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sh. Pandey further have the interaction with the Army Brigadier Gurez and DIG BSF Bandipora for the installation of the 4G towers in bordering locations  like Chaknala Bridge, Kashpar, Gujran, Chakwali, Anar, Highground and Rajdhan Top.  The meeting remained highly productive and BSNL with its unwavering commitment is ready to provide the connectivity to the Armed forces of the country.  The visit reflects the Department’s proactive approach and unwavering dedication to achieving 100% mobile coverage across Valley, as envisaged by the Govt. of India.<\/p>\n
