SRINAGAR 18 JUNE: The Department of English, Amar Singh College, organized a captivating \u201cStory-Telling Contest\u201d today to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India\u2019s \u201cIron Man\u201d. The event highlighted his life, struggles, and monumental contributions to India\u2019s freedom movement and the unification of the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically, presenting inspiring narratives on Sardar Patel\u2019s vision, leadership, and relentless efforts in forging a strong, united, and modern India. Through gripping stories, the participants showcased Sardar Patel\u2019s pivotal role in integrating princely states, his unwavering commitment to national unity, and his enduring legacy as one of India\u2019s founding architects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Ishaq Ahmad Wani, Head, Department of English, Amar Singh College, commended the initiative, stating, \u201cThis event not only honours Sardar Patel\u2019s legacy but also instills patriotism and a deeper understanding of India\u2019s history among our students.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion, Prof. Basharat Shameem, member of the Debates and Seminars Committee, stated that initiatives like these strengthen the significance of honouring and learning from our national heroes who played a pivotal role in shaping India\u2019s destiny. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
