DGP expresses sorrow over tragic accident, mourns over loss of lives;  Div Com, IGP Kashmir, DC Budgam, SSP Sgr, SSP Budgam visit injured soldiers at SMHS hospital, urges doctors to ensure best possible care<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Budgam, Sep 20 :\u00a0<\/strong>At least four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel died while several others were injured after a bus they were travelling in for poll duty skidded off road and fell into a gorge in Brell Waterhail area of central Kashmir\u2019s Budgam district on Friday, officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An official told the news agency\u2014(KNO) that the bus with 36 BSF troopers skidded off road in Brell village and fell into a deep gorge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that in the incident four BSF troopers died while more than two dozen were injured. The official said that the injured have shifted to Srinagar hospital. Police have taken cognisance of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Director General of Police (DGP) R.R. Swain has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident of a vehicle in which three BSF personnel lost their lives while several were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement issued, DGP has expressed profound sadness over the tragic loss of three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and injuries to several others in a tragic road accident in Brell Waterhail area of Budgam district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, DGP J&K has extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, colleagues, and loved ones of the deceased personnel. \u201cWe mourn the loss of these dedicated soldiers who tirelessly served the nation. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and assured all necessary support and assistance by the J&K Police,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, alongside the IG BSF Kashmir Frontier, visited the injured BSF soldiers at the SMHS Hospital today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey were joined by the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, SSP Srinagar, SSP Budgam, DC Budgam, and other senior officers. This visit comes in the wake of a tragic bus accident in Waterhal area of Budgam district, which resulted in the death of four (four) BSF soldiers and injuries to many others,\u201d a statement issued here said, adding that \u201cDuring his visit, the IGP Kashmir expressed deep concern for the well-being of the injured soldiers. He interacted with the medical staff to ensure they were receiving the best possible care. Additionally, the IGP offered words of encouragement to the injured and assured them of full support during their recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n
