Doda, Sep 14 :\u00a0<\/strong>Accusing the Abdullahs, Muftis and Gandhi\u2019s of ruining J&K, Prime Minister Narendera Modi Saturday said that terrorism is counting its last days in the UT and that the upcoming elections will decide the future of UT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing a massive gathering at Doda, Modi said that National Conference, PDP and Congress promoted separatism and terrorism in J&K for the past seven decades only to keep their \u201cshops running.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me tell you that terrorism is counting its last days in J&. The upcoming elections in J&K will decide the UT\u2019s future,\u201d Modi said and praised the party workers for travelling from Ramban and Kishtwar to attend his rally. \u201cI really appreciate your great enthusiasm.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that post-independence, J&K became an eyesore for the foreign powers and they started hatching conspiracies. \u201cAfter that, family rule politics destroyed J&K,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the National Conference, PDP and Congress failed to hold Panchayat polls in J&K since 2000. \u201cIt was the BJP government that ensured democracy reaches to the grassroots level,\u201d Modi said, adding that \u201cBlock Develop Council and District Development Council elections were held for the first time and youth came to the fore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow the upcoming elections is a direct fight between three families and J&K youth who are chasing their dreams,\u201d he said. Modi said that youth who were picking stones to throw them at police and forces are now thinking big. \u201cStones are being used to construct big buildings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praising the BJP candidate from Kishtwar Shagun Parihar, Modi said that Shagun\u2019s both parents were killed by terrorists. \u201cWe gave her a ticket to contest polls. She is our tool against terrorism,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that it was the BJP who would restore Statehood to J&K. \u201cWe are committed to make J &K a terror free region and a paradise for tourists,\u201d Modi said. He said J&K will be a global film destination and there will be a direct train from Delhi to Srinagar soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking a jibe at NC, Congress and PDP for their manifestos, Modi said people have to choose between BJP\u2019s Sankalp Patra and other parties\u2019 manifestos that advocate return of the bad old days again. \u201cOther manifestos call for return of Article 370 and roll back of reservations to Paharis, Gujajrs and Bakerwals. They also advocate snatching of voting rights of Valmikis and Dalits,\u201d Modi said\u2014(KNO)<\/strong><\/p>\n
