The protest highlighted their struggle with skyrocketing electricity costs, which have doubled in recent months without explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A local from the area said that &#8220;We cannot sustain these exorbitant bills. It&#8217;s affecting our daily lives and well-being.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The peaceful demonstration drew media attention, amplifying the residents&#8217; demands for transparency and a fair billing system. The JKPDD has yet to respond, but the community remains hopeful for a resolution.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This protest underscores the broader challenges faced by many in Kashmir, where rising utility
