JAMMU, FEBRUARY 06: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone of a new campus of Cluster University, Jammu, today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion, the Lt Governor congratulated the Vice Chancellor, HoDs, faculty members and students of the associated colleges of cluster university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted the significant role of universities and educational institutions in realizing the growing aspirations of the society and the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnder the leadership of Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Institutions and access to quality education is making valuable contributions to concerned sectors,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lt Governor also talked about the reforms introduced in higher education sector in J&K over last few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir is witnessing phenomenal expansion of education sector, which in turn is addressing the vital need of development, enhancing human capital and strengthening larger vision of nation-building,\u201d the Lt Governor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He impressed upon the Colleges under Cluster University to harness the opportunities and improve, reorient and prepare market-ready skilled workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lt Governor also congratulated the Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, Prof Bechan Lal on successful completion of his tenure as VC and wished him good health and all the success in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sh Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary Higher Education; Sh Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; senior officials, Principals of Associated Colleges, Heads of Departments and Faculty members of Cluster University of Jammu were present on the occasion at Raj Bhawan.<\/p>\n
