The said wedding reception was called off at the last moment by the groom side on the pretext that the groom has run away and has refused to attend the reception thereby denying the Nikah which has been performed earlier&#8221;, reads a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Upon this Police Awantipora took the cognizance of the matter by registering FIR No 182\/2023 U\/S 420, 498(A) IPC in Police Station Awantipora against the groom and his father and both have been arrested&#8221;, reads the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Further investigation shall follow&#8221;, concludes the statement.
