Says Chances Of Rain \u2018Very Less\u2019 In Next 2 Weeks<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Srinagar, Sept 5 : Weather department here on Tuesday forecast mainly \u201chot and dry\u201d weather and said that the chances of rainfall were \u201cvery less\u201d in Jammu and Kashmir for next two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A meteorological department official here told GNS hot and dry weather was expected during the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that no large change was expected in days ahead and weather was likely to stay \u201cmainly dry\u201d from September 6-11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMainly clear and dry is expected. A brief spell of light rain may occur at isolated places on certain occasions, although chances are very less,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, he said there’s no forecast of any major rain and snowfall for the next two weeks. \u201cSubdued rainfall will continue for another two weeks in J&K and Ladakh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said weather remains favorable for \u201charvesting of crops and outdoor activities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As regards temperature, he said, Srinagar recorded a minimum of 16.8\u00b0C, Qazigund 15.0\u00b0C, Pahalgam 10.7\u00b0C, Kupwara town 16.3\u00b0C, Kokernag 13.6\u00b0C, Gulmarg 11.2\u00b0C, Jammu 19.0\u00b0C, Banihal 14.7\u00b0C, Batote 14.2\u00b0C, Katra 16.6\u00b0C and Bhaderwah 16.8\u00b0C. <\/p>\n
