Srinagar, July 14, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday announced summer vacations for all Government Degree Colleges in the Kashmir Division and those falling under the winter zone of the Jammu Division.
According to Government Order No. 234-JK(HE) of 2026, issued by the Higher Education Department, the vacation will be observed from July 21 to August 2, 2026.
The order states that all Government Degree Colleges in the Kashmir Division as well as those located in the winter zone of the Jammu Division shall remain closed during the notified period as part of the annual summer vacation schedule.
The order has been issued by the Higher Education Department under the authority of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and has been circulated to all concerned departments and college principals for necessary compliance.
Classes in the affected colleges are expected to resume after the conclusion of the vacation period unless any further orders are issued by the department.
