Mason Killed, in downtown Srinagar Construction Accident -
Srinagar, Sep 30, KNT: Tragedy struck in the Shamswari Kalashpora area of Srinagar’s uptown when a 60-year-old mason lost his life in a construction accident.
A close relative of the deceased informed that a man, who was reportedly working as a mason in the under-construction house, died, and two adjoining workers were injured after the house collapsed in Shamaswari old city, Srinagar.
He said the workers were carrying out construction when the support of the structure suddenly gave way, resulting in the collapse of the house.
The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment, where one of them was declared brought dead on arrival. The other two persons are receiving medical aid.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ismail Shuloo (58), son of Ghulam Rasool Shuloo. He is survived by his two sons and wife.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation, while a wave of sorrow swept the area as people began visiting the deceased’s home to offer condolences—(KNO)
