SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 07: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Wednesday chaired a meeting regarding acquisition of structures to remove bottlenecks from main roads of Srinagar city.

The meeting was attended by SE, R&B Srinagar;  Deputy Director Planning; Executive Engineer and Engineering officials.

The meeting deliberated over settling of the issues with proprietors to remove identified bottlenecks of shops and houses on vital roads.

It was deliberated that those parties who agreed to the conditions of acquisition their cases shall be put before HLC for settlement at an earliest and the bottlenecks shall be removed without consuming more time.

Div Com was briefed by the officers of R&B regarding the individual cases of acquisition & demolition of bottlenecks and the solution offered by the department to the parties.

The meeting was informed about decisions to be taken for road widening and acquisition of structures on Habba Kadal-Baba Pora Road, Khankhi Moula-Fateh Kada,  New Noor Jahan Bridge at Qamarwari,  Nawa Bazar-Zainakadal, .

 Syed Merak Shah road,  KZP road Karan, Nagar-Sakidafar Road, Karan Nagar-Kak Sarai Road, Buchpora Hazratbal Road, Nawa Kadal- Nawa Bazar Road, etc.

Further, Div Com directed concerned Executive Engineer of Shopping Complex Rainawari to issue allotments to dislocated shopkeepers whose structures were acquired.

Div Com also  emphasized on the  concerned to address all cases as per the feasibility of finances & priority.

Meanwhile, the department has already started demolition of acquired structures at Habba Kadal and Rainawari.
