BANDIPORA, AUGUST 21: A surprise checking of vehicles was today conducted on Gurez-Bandipora road with special focus on Affixation of HSRP plates and speed limiting devices.
Many vehicles were challaned under Motor Vehicle Act during the checking. On the occasion 05 Driving licences, 02 RCs and 04 permits were seized and notices were issued on spot for traffic violations.
The ARTO Bandipora said that the traffic checking drive will continue in different parts of the district in coming days.
During the checking, a fine of Rs. 28,000 was recovered from offenders and documents of some vehicles were seized. Moreover vehicles plying without HSRP were also seized.
