Srinagar, Aug 02 : The dis-employed Jammu & Kashmir Bank ATM guards on Wednesday staged a protest at Srinagar’s press enclave here and demanded justice.
While talking to the media persons here as per the news agency— (KNO), the protesters said the J&K Bank has installed CCTV cameras inside the premises and on gates and inside ATMs as well following they have been asked to resign from the posts.
“We were not only ATM guards but we were also helping the people as well, but now after almost 15 to 20 years, we are being asked to resign, please tell us where we should go? ” asked the guards.
“There is no need for digitization in case it ends up snatching the jobs of employed people,” said the protesters.
“We are here to request the J&K Bank authorities and to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led administration to intervene and ensure justice is delivered as we have been working for the last 20 years and if we become jobless our families will lead towards starvation,” they said.
